How to Determine In-District Residency Status:
Your residency status is classified as In-District if your address on file pays property taxes to Alvin Community College.
You can verify at the Brazoria County Appraisal District website.
- Use the Property Search link and enter your address.
- If your address is listed, click on the record.
- Scroll down to the Property Taxing Jurisdiction.
- Is Alvin Community College listed as a Taxing Entity?
- Yes - In-District.
- No - Out-of-District.
- If your address is not listed in the property search, then your residency is Out-of-District.
Tuition and Fees
Attending ACC is an affordable option for most students. Tuition rates are based on
residency.
Tuition may be paid using the college website under “Make a Payment” .

- Out-of-District Tuition - $102/credit hour
- Non-Resident tuition - $155/credit hour
- Technology fee - $98

Active duty military out-of-state residents are eligible for in-state tuition by presenting a military identification card to the VA Certifying Official.

Unless otherwise noted, all co-ops, internships and labs include a $15 fee.
Tuition Installment Plan
Installment plan information will be available on the ACC website. Installment Plan contracts are located at here. Withdrawals after the refund period do not cancel the balance owed on the installment plan. Records holds for balances due must be paid by cash, money order, or credit card at the cashier window in Building A. No checks will be accepted as payment on a student hold.
Students with four delinquent payments on their payment plan will be ineligible to set up a future payment plan.
